Update on 9/8/17 PET-CT Scan
Good news! I was able to see the radiology report of my PET-CT scan from Friday, 9/8/17 and it shows that the mass in my chest remains stable so all indications are still pointing to it being a benign thymic-rebound. My appointment with the gyn-onc is in a week so I'll learn if my port can be removed at that time. I'll post an update afterwards.
Also, we had no major damage from Hurricane Irma. We're still without power at my home but we have a generator so we've been able to keep the refrigerator and some fans running. It could have been much worse so we consider ourselves very lucky indeed!

Great news! We all celebrate
Great news! We all celebrate with you. My power came back last night. And, we just got internet and cable back 10 minutes ago! I have to say the companies did a great job responding to all of the needed repairs. Although, we are spoiled so being without TV for 4 days was tough. And, it was great sleeping in my bed with air conditioning last night.
I hope you get deported very soon. Not sure if you remember, but I had mine out 6 months post chemo.... Put some lidocaine around the entire area and you won't feel the needles very much when they numb the area.
Keep dancing with NED my friend.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

Update from 3 month appt w/Gyn-Onc
Hi everyone. I wanted to share some good news that I had my last 3 month follow-up appointment with my gyn-onc on Tuesday, Oct 3rd and have graduated up to every 6 months! My next appointment is in April 2018 - it seems so far away! I'll be getting my port removed ("de-ported") next month.
I'm trying not to jinx myself but it really feels like this whole ordeal is finally starting to come to an end.
