Every now and then this site gets me thinking about something and I end up going for a dig.  Today, why actually is "recovery".  First stop - placebos.  It sort of plays on the positive mental attitude thing.  I'm personally sort of sceptical - wishing away my mucosites didn't have much affect; end of radiation treatment, and ample hydration and nutrition did.  "O ye, of little faith".

    alternative therapies

    There is no such thing as alternative medicine.  There is medicine that has been proven to work, and other things that have no evidence.
