Insomnia
Ever since my first chemo treatment I've been having terrible insomnia. It's not that I'm not tired - I'm fatigued and exhausted - just can't sleep.
Dr told me I can take Benadryl - doesn't work. I've tried over the counter sleep aid - but all I get is about 2 hours and then I'm wide awake again. I'm going to bring it up to my Dr again this coming Thursday. I can't function like this, I need to sleep so that I can make it in to work.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

gp?
I've only been seeing my oncology team for medications - is it common to go to a GP as well?

Yes indeed. I am older so I have other medical issues. I still see my GP for them. My onocologist sends my GP health reports on a regular basis and vice versa.

It is probably better to stick with your oncology team for meds for other issues. If they want you to see your GP, they can tell you. Unless you have a very good GP, who communicates with your oncology team, you will run into trouble. Talk to your MO first.
