Texans
im sorry to be off topic, but I know we have members from Texas and I am wanting if they are safe, especially the one in Beaumont where flooding is increasing. My daughter lives there too and I haven't heard from her this morning yet. Please if you can Texans give a shout out to let us know you are safe. Prayers for all!

It's kind of scary that none of the Texans have replied to this by now. However, they may be alright and their computers might not be, or the power might be out in their area. I keep wondering how the hospitals are doing. I know a lot of people go to MD Anderson, and I wonder if that's flooded, and if so, how the patients are doing there, plus how flooded the records, tissue specimens, etc., are. It would be awful to have had surgery and not be able to find out the pathology results. It could be life threatening to not be able to get the final diagnosis in a cancer case.
Hurricane Harvey is now hitting New York state where I live, but we need the rain pretty badly up here. We've had almost no rain for a couple of weeks now, and I've been out watering grass seed we planted every night lately. I'm glad to be getting a few days off from that task.

DebraJo
I talked to her quite some time ago. She was having some personal problems and had decided to stay off of our board after the loss of several of our members. So, I'm hopeful that she is OK and has moved on from all of this. No idea of course whether she got hit by Harvey though.
I have been thinking about several of our missing sisters lately and know of a few that decided to move away from the cancer discussions. Sometimes that is the best thing to do. I'm not there (yet). I still feel a need to give back since those that came before me helped me more than I can ever repay.
Love and Hugs to all,
Cindi

You've been posting since I've joined this board and I always think "Oh, good!" when I see your name in a thread. You'd be missed, so I'm glad you are still hanging out here! Just wanted you to know.

MA, thanks very much for the
MA, thanks very much for the kind words. Just like in the "physical world", there are those we connect better with than others. I know exactly what you are saying about the 'oh good' part. I feel that also about several of our members. Funny how that works! I love this board and all of our members because one size doesn't fit all but we are all there for each other. Thanks again, you made my day.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

Thanks Teddy Bears. That
Thanks Teddy Bears. That explains why we haven't heard from DebraJo and I pray she came through the storm ok. I am one who checks the board often, so it's great to hear from you, but I understand why some don't want to check in often. Prayers for all of us. We are sisters!
