St. John's Wort may help with oxilaplatin nueropathy

Here is a recent article (abstract only) that says St. John's Wort may help with oxilplatin induced nueropathy: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28160544
There is also some evidence it may have an anti-cancer effect: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2814533/
Does anyone have any experience or comments about it?

Antioxidant?GmaAnn said:Neuropathy
My Dr had me taking an antidepressant for my neuropathy. St John's Wort is supposed to be an antidepressant. I suppose that would be why it would help?
I think the article said it was an anti-oxidant. I think there are a lot of things the medical community does not know. I think what is more important to me is that it works, not how it works, but that is just me.
