I probably spelled it worng but you guys know what I'm talking about. A friend is trying it right now. She thinks it got rid of her arthritis pain right away. She's had breast cancer without recurrence but wanted to try it. Has anyone that's tried it had tummy issues? She thinks it's upsetting her stomach. If so, what did you do to deal with that?

Thanks,

Jan

    because of my auto immune

Problems I am unable to take any nsaids and after two years plus on targin (oxycodone) I will never let anyone prescribe me any form of narcotic again. I had heard reports of curcummin helping with joint pain. I bought the expensive type with black pepper. After three months I came to the conclusion that it is A very expensive B it had no effect on my pain levels and C It caused me some stomach pain and disruption. I stopped taking it. I have a good working relationship with my pharmacist and his advice was that most of the curcummin available was of dubious value because there were no guidelines for it's manufacture and that none that he had experience with were powerful enough to do any good. he said i would probably get the same or better results from eating a whole lot of tumeric. Curcumin

I take both Curcumin pills and also do some cooking with Tumeric.  I have found the Tumeric faily unpallatable, but the pills have no effect on me whatsoever, so I am keeping up with them.  They are, like most on the market, mixed with black pepper, which is supposed to make the curcumin more available.

Here is a recent article on it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5386596/
