Great News
And great to hear you oncologist your oncologist did not string you along to your next appointment. That is one of the reasons I bagged my old oncologist (there were a couple of reasons, but this was the tipping point) - they refused to tell me the results on my scan for another few days after my surgery for met to the lungs.

My Oncologist is great...
My Oncologist is great, but so are my other doctors.
So responsive, I had an issue on a follow up and he called my Cardiologist on the phone but he wasn't available.
He sent me to the ER where my Cardiologist showed up in about an hour. All of my doctors seem to know each other, even though they are independent.
I feel lucky to have the "team" working for me.

Good news!
Great to hear this - thanks for sharing this good news! My Oncologist is such a wonderful doctor - always pleasant, Positive (which is so important) - he has called me the day following my CT scans with the results. I travel 5 hrs total for treatment - but wouldn't trade him for the world. Initially, I had terrible delays in getting a liver biopsy, cancer clinic appt, etc in the city I live in - hard to forget the awful treatment last summer (Except for my GP who is also a great dr). I know those of us who have a caring, positive, and knowledgeable Onco are very appreciative.

After my consultation with my Oncologist..
After my consultation with my Oncologist I went to have an Ultrasound of my Thyroid where a cystic mass was found. I will be seeing a Thyroid Surgeon next Wednesday for a posible biopsy.
We'll see what comes of it.
Peace

Glad to hear your PetCT
Glad to hear your PetCT result came back good. Having great doctors that communicate with you makes such a great difference. My surgeon called me today to let me know the result from my CT scan I did yesterday. He discussed with me over the phone. I didn't have to take off work to go there and to pay another co-pay visit. Good luck to you on next Wednesday.

Wonderful
It's great news that there is no spread. Wishing you the best in your treatments going forward. Having a great team of doctors is very important and especially nice when they get back with you personally.

Doctors
I am having Doctor problems. My non-profit hospital has been purchased by a for-profit corporation. Both my surgeon and oncologist have left he area. Now my internist is leaving the for-profit hospitaland going to another one.
Fortunately I can stay with him,But it will mean being referred to Doctors at the new hospital. Only time will tell the effects of all this. I'm old enough that maybe it won't make any difference .
