3 years after Chemo, Hair and nail Problems
Hi, I am new here. I am three years out from Chemo praise God. When my hair grew back it grew in much thinner and not curly. I probably got half the hair I had before. Previously My hair was extremely thick. But it is hair and it covers every part of my head. My question is about hair dye and fingernails. I had taxol and my nails are still extremely weak and brittle. My hair is very dark and when I have colored it in the past I was never able to obtain the shade I wanted because I didn't want to bleach. I bought a semi permant color at the store the other day and my hair came out so light red I was absolutely stunned. I pretty much stayed home for 6 weeks till I could color again. Has any one else had this happen? Can anyone tell me what I can expect going forward? I think my hair stylist is sort of flummoxed also. Any thing would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just sayin...I have permanentTeach76 said:Biotin
I do not have any experience with dye. Taxotere 6 rounds, and my hair came back VERY thin and not a curl in sight. I have been taking Biotin for a year now, and I do see new growth along my hairline.
Just sayin...I have permanent hairloss from Taxotere. Its real. I do not have enough hair to cover my head and must wear wigs. 7 years since Ive seen my hair. See aheadofourtime.org.)

That is really terrible. Are you aware of the class action suit?
