Three Month PET, NED!
Had my three month post treatment PET this morning and was shocked when a Doctor on my team called and told me she had a chance to review my scan. I wasn't anticipating results until next Monday during an appointment I had scheduled. Doc said she didn't want me worrying through the holiday unnecessarily.
Doc excitedly told me that the scan looked "perfect" and that there is no evidence of disease whatsoever. This was especially great news since my PET at the start of all of this showed a suspicious mark on my lung, and my secondary tumor was on my collarbone and muscle. That is the last stop before it spreads to your lungs.
My wife and son were with me when I took the call on speakerphone and we all enjoyed a tearful celebration.
I started this latest saga around Christmas so took about 6 months to get this report and what a long strange trip it has been.
