Guess where I am?
Hi! I am in the infusion room for about an hour.. 2 more to go......one step closer to being cancer free! The only effects of the steroids have been that I am eating anything that is not tied down. Fingers crossed that it goes well.

Home at last
Thanks Mesch and surfer! Well, I was at the cancer center all day 10-5 today. They are very thorough and I trust them! Feel pretty well, but tired! Just ate dinner after chowing down all day in the center! Hope these steroids don't make me gain weight. i wll watch it next time. So far, so good! God is good.

At least you are now on your way. Remember to document any side effects over the next week. I found that my SE fit into a pattern ( I.e. Metal taste - days 3-6, itchy days 4-9). Once you know what to expect, you can be prepared. Enjoy whatever foods you want now! You may find your taste changes.
are you getting Neulasta? That made me extremely tired for about 2 days - once I knew that, I planned on being home those days.
blessings!

thanks! No Neulasta unless needed. Last time I had chemo I had it twice. It was not fun and they did not tell me what to expect. i got better in a few days each time.

It was fine. the worst part was that I arrived at 10:30 and left at 5:30 and the one and 1/2 hr. Ride took 3 hours with Boston traffic heading to Cape Cod for the weekend. My sister and her husband have had two long days with driving Miss Daisy! LOL I am exhausted, even with the steroids! My daughter is here helping around the house with food, etc. i was so happy to have her surprise me with time off from work!
How is the radiation going? Any better? i sure hope so! Thanks for thinking of me!

HapB,
Cape Cod sounds wonderful! I hope that it gives you the chance to enjoy life without thinking about cancer for a weekend!
Radiation is going better this week. I have now completed 12/20 treatments. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I cannot wait to finish and go home!

I am so glad that your are more than half way done! Have you gotten to enjoy Phoenix at all? I have been there once and loved the restaurants! It it pretty there.
I live in Bristol, RI right on the water, on the way to Cape Cod from Boston direction. Much prettier and more peaceful than Cape Cod! I am very lucky to live in a beautiful place right on the water with lots of lovely walking trails and a quaint little downtown! I like it here a lot and the good thing is that it is a great place for my daughter to visit when she wants to get out of NYC and just chill!
I am doing ok today. This darned port is a pain in the neck, quite literally. They installed it on my left side right uner my collar bone and the tube sits right on my collar bone. The seat belt of the car cuts right over the whole thing! This too shall pass!!!

HapB/Annie
Thank you Annie! I think that you rock! I am not sure that I could have your great attitude if I had been through some of the things that you have been through!
HapB- I used to live in Phoenix so not alot of new sights for me, but my son just moved here three months ago, and I have some good friends here that I have been able to spend time with. During the week I have spent the majority of my time traveling to treatments, exercising etc., but during the weekends I have been able to do some fun things. Today I got to have lunch with friends, dinner and a movie with my son and tomorrow my sister is driving here from Tucson to spend the afternoon. Although I am homesick there have been some good things about being here in Phoenix.
Hopefully everybody is enjoying the weekend away from tretments and focusing on things other than cancer!
