I've been thinking of you all week, and hoping that the brain surgery was a success and that you will have a swift recovery.

    Me too...

I keep checking here for a post, an update.

And Trubrit, I was wondering how do you keep track of the people here??

Wish there was a way to know that everyone you communicate with here are doing fine.

    Calendar

if I know the date of someone's surgery, procedure or appointment (like your upcoming one on the 31st), I put it on my calendar.

I have some forum friends on Facebook.

Sadly, some disappear from the forum, and are never heard from again. There are a few of us (Loveskittiies) who search the web and sadly find obituaries.

When our regular forum members disappear, we hope for the best, as many, especially those with Stages III and below, are doing well and want to put the whole episode behind them.

There Was A Time When I Synched With Certain Posters

You and I were within a week of one another on scans for awhile.  I think I messed that up when they were going to set me to 6 months apart then get the stupid met.

    I am back at home

sprry for the delay. This has been a rough recovery.  I coded after the second brain surgery.  I got a trach and a peg.  Not a fan of the trach b the way.  I was also put in an induced coma for a few days.  Then I went to rehab. I just got home a few days ago.  Still can't eat as my throats muscles aren't strong enough. Tomorrow I have a PET scan to determine how the radiation did on my brain. My oncologist has told me that if there stuff in my brain that she would recommend just living life to the fullest. To say I'm scared and frustrated is putting it mildly.  But I'll do what I need to do.

    Oh, dear friend

It is so good to hear from you, though hard to hear that your journey has been so rough. And not just one, but two brian surgeries.

You have been in my thoughts for sure.

I am glad you are home. I can only hope that your PET is good.  Scared is definitely an emotion that would envelope me as well, but I know you will fight for life.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us and update.

Again, I am happy to hear from you. You will be in my thoughts tommorow.

    So happy

to see you back here again.  Sounds like you've had a very tough time. You are obviously one strong fighter, hopefully the worst is behind you and every day you become stronger.

I am thinking of you and sending positive energy your way.

    Struggling

I am struggling.  I still can't walk in assisted.  I can't eat without my tube.  I can't drive. I can't ride horses. I'm dependent on those around me.   I'm such a naturally independent person that this is tough.

    So very hard

I know how hard it is to reply on others when you are so independant, but now is the time to take care of yourself.  Time will bring these abilities back to you, so try, try, try to relax and let others take care of you.

So glad to see you back

You sound like you 've had a rough time of it. I know feeling dependent is frustrating but as TRU said, relax, take care of yourself and let others help.  And  let us know how your recovery is going.

    Focus

on what you can do.  See the blue sky, your beautiful family, your favorite TV or movie.

Hear your favorite music or the birds singing or your daughters voice.

Feel the sun on your face.

    Peace

I went for a follow up with

I went for a follow up with my brain surgeon.  They all I'mptressed with my recovery. However I don't feel far enough along. I still can't eat.  Still can't walk or drive.  But my trach hole is completely sealed.  I saw the icu nurses that dealt with me when I crashed. They were so happy.  I have a great picture but I don't know how to add it via my cell phone.

    Picture!

Oh, I would love to see a picture.

The only way I know how to add pictures, is downloading to Photobucket and then linking.  I hope you figure something out.

If your team say you're doing well, then you're doing well by their timeline.  I know it is hard, not being back to normal, but it takes time.

I'm so glad to hear that you

I'm so glad to hear that you're improving. It takes so long but once you're over it, looking back, it never seems to be that long. I had many times when I wondered if I'd ever be where I am today. I'm thrilled to feel as well as I do and I think about it so often.

I hope you'll get much better quickly and this will all be a memory and you'll be feeling awesome! Sending you hugs and good thoughts! Hang in there!
