Bad reaction to 2nd treatment now surgery
im double negative HER2 positive IDC I was on TCHP treatment and 2 minutes into my second infusion of Taxotere I had a bad reaction, my throat closed and it was very hard to breathe, my pulse and blood pressure went through the roof and crazy back pain, after they got me stable I continued with CHP (i didn't finish the taxotere). a few days later I went back to my oncologist and he is now recommending surgery and AC chemo once I've healed. Has anyone had the same reaction?

Hi Strongmama, I'm diagnosed
Hi Strongmama, I'm diagnosed the same as you...same drugs and yes, had bad reactions after the first chemo but I'm not sure which drug caused the problems. I cried every night for the first 5 nights from chest and back pain, throat and breathing issues, rapid heart and I thought I was going to die. The next treatment she switched me from Lukine to Granix and the pain stopped. Also, the first chemo they gave me 3 herceptin treatments at once and now they spread them out. Not sure which caused the problems though.

Hi Maggie359, I'm sorry you're having so much pain and a rough time. I haven't been on in a while and well a lot has changed... because of my allergic reaction my oncologist presented my case to the tumor boar, and found the tests for HER2 were incomplete!!! Turns out I'm triple negative... and surgery was recommended next, and a new chemo plan AC and taxol, I'm allergic to taxotere. I've had a double mastectomy on may 22, and meet with oncologist on June 18.
I hope things are getting better for you!!
