Just read the sad news that Pete has passed away.

For those of you who remember him, you'll know that he was a tough guy, who followed cures all over the world.  For those who do not remember him, you will see his posts popping up when folks ressurect old threads.  He was quite the guy.

Always sad when we lose one of our own.

Rest in peace, Pete. I'm sure you are no longer lost at sea.

TRU

    Aw, how sad. And

Aw, how sad. And disappointing to hear that he tried various cures that are out there without success. I'm assuming that's what you mean, Tru. I feel horrible for his family.

    So sad to hear

I just read his daughter's post on his blog.  I'm sad for his family, but glad he was with them at the end and is now at peace.  His daughter wrote a beautiful blog post about her dad.  RIP Pete.  Traci

    Very Sad

It makes me so sad to read this.  He was one tough cookie! He tried so many treatments all around the globe if I remember.

My deepest sympathy as he finally can rest.  Pete you will be missed!

Does anyone have the link to the blog?

    Thanks Tru

I had never read his blog before.  Very moving!  It was not really a story it was a journey.

Peter did reply to my posts and questions when I joined CSN 5 + years ago.  He was always funny and light-hearted and positive.  That's what I remember most.

I pray for rest for him now and for his family,  no more cancer.

    He will be very missed!

    My buddy

There's a lot to his story he never shared openly.  Keep his children in your thoughts and on your heart.

    What a fighter!

Thank you for posting the link to his blog.  I read many of his posts, and he sure had the right attitude!  It sounds like he did as much as he could to enjoy life inspite of his struggles with cancer.

It is so hard to realize that even with all he did he was not cured.   Does anyone know when he was first diagnosed?

I came on to see if there

I came on to see if there were any recent roll calls. Awww man not Pete. The man was a loon in the truest sense of the word.  Reminded me of my father, also off his rocker nuts. Lol but his craziness and rambling posts that confused the heck out of me and caused everyone to argue were a lot better than hey my arm's swollen again today. I really thought all the crazy concoctions he was trying were going to get him through.  I was sad when he got kicked off the boards. You have to take people at face value and enjoy what they bring to the table even in the most difficult times. I couldn't understand why everyone bothered reading his crazy posts instead of just saying good try Pete, whatever works for you. Live and let live and living is what we're all so desperately trying to do.  When I came on these boards. I " met" some incredible people from around the world and it was a privilege to get to "know" them. They reminded me that cancer is just a part of your life, it isn't your whole life. Among the horrible days there are good days of laughter and fun and room for crazy antics. I'm going to miss  Pete. I actually checked every few months to see how he was doing and what he was trying next. The world has room for everyone, even the nuttier among us. I so miss that whole crew.

    It is true

The forum was really rolling back when we first joined, wasn't it. So many good people; so much good discussion, so much good advice. Pepe, asking after everyones weekend. Craig roaring. Buzzard steady and to the point. Doc Hawk, dapper Doc as I liked to call him. Nana, Barb, Jonnybegood, Kathleen posting about ****.  LindaK posting for her hubby, Lisa2012, Smokey Joe. Joemetz, steveandnat.  Texas Mike (thxmiker), Winter Marie, Dyanclark and Daffodil58 posting for there husbands. Jeff Anderson, Uncle Buddy posting for her brother. Jen posting for her husband.........

Yeah, those are but a few on the list of forum members who have passed away. So many, too many, more. The forum was buzzing and one by one, their ligths went out. And now Pete has joined them. I bet there are some good discussions going on somewhere in the great beyond.

    Sorry to Hear

Peter was truly one of a kind.  If no one was around when he first joined and watched his post of why he was named Pete Lost at sea he actually was.  It was a great story, one truly to be admired.  He tried everything to be healed with every treatment you could think of and dream of and things you'd never do but that was Pete.  Just a person hoping and striving for his long survival.  I'm sorry to hear of his passing.  He came to this board after my joining so I'm very aware of his story.  God be with you Pete.  You gave a lot of people joy here on earth.
