Doctor appointment results
So I went to dr today to see what his plan of action was for my bad catscan results. Apparently the votrient did decrease some of the mets but some of other ones have grown. It said the could be inflamed from the taking of the votrient or it could be the cancer progressing. So he put me on a steriod for my abdominal pain I have been having and he gave me tramadol for pain. I am going to continue votrient 800 mg for now but he put in an order for cabozantinib . He said it is stronger and will be more aggressive . I do t know if my mind is at ease or if I'm still stressed out beyond belief. Anyone have comments or experiences with cabo, I appreciate all info. Thank you all

I am no expert with those
I am no expert with those drugs except what I have heard from others here. So hang on and others will come along to help you.
I just wanted to send you a hug. I know this must be so much to deal with, so many ups and downs.
Here for you.. all the way!
Gentle hugs, healing vibes

Cabo vs Opdivo
I had the option of choosing the next drug when I stopped taking Votrient. I chose Opdivo, to be followed by Cabo if/when Opdivo stops working. I thought I'd defer the Cabo side effects and "make hay" while on Opdivo. The potential hand/foot skin reaction scared me away from Cabo.

Optivo wasn't offered to me , he just said he was going to prescribe Cabo. It hasn't been approved yet, since they only put it in yesterday.
