In Ireland
I was told that they dont advise feeding tubes when I asked? I start 7 weeks of IMRT 8th of May with Cisplatin on day 1, 22 & 43. I have put 30lbs of weight on since I thought it was tongue cancer, guess I will find out soon how I fare without a tube.

It goes both ways, and very
It goes both ways, and very competent doctors are strongly in favor of each approach. Mine, and the schools and residencies they were associated with, did not like PEGs. Other doctors obviously do. Probably the complications from infections with, and malnutrition without are about equal. I did without and lost 40 pounds, but had no issues recovering swallow, because I never stopped. I do strongly recommend a central line for infusions, mine was a PICC line in my arm. You will likely end up getting lots of hydration infusions, and also end up getting stuck with many needles. PICC lines eliminate that.
