Potassium level dropped

We get to spend at least 5 hours at the hospital tomorrow. Hubby's potassium and magnesium have bottomed out. He is getting depressed now too. I guess 12 straight days of being hooked up to an IV will do that to a person.

    Yikes!  12 straight days on

Yikes!  12 straight days on an IV.....  My hubby's potassium and magnesium dropped following his oral cancer surgery.  It was amazing what an IV of those supplements did for him.  Hope your hubby feels better.

It was a longggg day. Thank

It was a longggg day. Thank God the ambulatory care nurses are so sweet. Hubby has been in a particularly foul mood lately,  understandably so. But, he found his happy place this evening and the mood has lifted. It's been hard to celebrate the end of treatments when he is still "cooking " and feeling like crud. Add on all the crazy blood levels and, well, it's a recipe for some serious unpleasantness.

Glad it was a better time

Glad it was a better time this evening.  Those are the times we, as loving caregivers, hold onto and we hope they get us at least part of the way through the next bout of unpleasantness.

    Long weekend for you! I'm

Long weekend for you! I'm glad your hubby seems to be feeling better. It is as a caregiver to always be patient and loving when your loved one is being a butt. :). I just tell myself I would be the same way. It's hard though. I hope he's on the up and up from now on.  Thought about you guys this weekend. We are entering the last 4 days and possibly the last chemo tomorrow. We so want to celebrate but that's not gonna happen until my hubbys done cooking for awhile. Take care! Take deep breaths and enjoy the end of this journey
