Surgery completed - node removed

First - thank you ladies for all your words of encouragement and support the laSt few days. This means more than I can adequately express with mere words.

Surgery wwas done and this afternoon about 1:30 and the para aortic retroperitoneal lymph node was successfully removed!! It will now be sent off for pathology and to Foundation One fo the genomic testing.

Now...onward to recovery.  Pain is well managed and I actually feel better than I anticipated.  Doctor told my husband she thinks 2-3 days inpatient rather than the 3-5 we had initially discussed prior to surgery. Feeling opimitic and very thankf this morning.
