Hard to find info on where lumps surface after APR

Hello all, jumping boards hoping someone on this one might know the answer.  I had an APR 4 years ago and have been cancer free since.  I went for a GYN checkup and told my doctor I felt a lump.  She said she felt nothing and it was just confusing because my vagina is now so distorted from the surgery.  I moved on. Went to another appt, no one felt the lump.  Last GYN appt, I told them again I'm still feeling this lump.  No one could feel it, scans were clean.  Now I am seriously feeling this lump, there are no if ands or buts about it, the lump is bigger.  They'll feel it this time.  After APR does anyone know if the cancer can resurface vaginally?  I'm not in anxiety mode at this point, I just want an answer to what this lump is and the likelihood that rectal cancer spreads to the vagina after APR.  I've been annoyed though the whole cancer process.  It's shocking how few people listen to you, you know your own body.

    If you had anal cancer that was HPV mediated, I would think it would be very possible to have another gynecological cancer that is HPV mediated, including vaginal cancer.  Continue to seek answers if you feel something isn't right.

    I've have precanceous cervical cells from HPV.  I just don't know if rectal cancer can spread to the cervix.  It could be a cyst, could be just a lump and not be related to cancer at all.  Doesn't seem to be any info on this online.  I had a Pap a year ago, it was clean.  I had a scan in November and it didnt' show anything.  The fact that they can't feel it is driving me nuts.  It's clearly there and it's a hard lump.

    i know exactly what you mean about knowing your own body! So many doctors poo poo what we say because even they don't get it. If you can go to a gyn oncologist who sees lots of cancer patients maybe that would help. Good luck finding out what the lump is. I wonder if it may just be like a prolapse of bladder or uterus into vagina? Does it change with position?

    Thinking about the lump

    can you go to gyn and feel the lump yourself and then guide their hand/finger to the lump? Surely someone is going to feel what you are talking about and be able to explain. If you have had a recent CT if the lump was a cancerous mass they would have picked that up?!

    Would it be possible to make an appointment with the surgeon who performed the APR?  Perhaps it is just scar tissue.
