Weight loss caused by tamoxifen???

Hello Ladies,

My husband finished his chemo in late August and radation in mid

October in 2016.  He has been on tamoxifen since the comlpetion

of radiation. He has been doing well and feeling good except

occasional sleep trouble. He has been exercising ever since he

started his chemo. He started working recently.

He lost some weight, about 4 kilos (8 lbs) since he finished

radation and started on tamoxifien.

Did anyone experience weight loss while on

tamoxifien?? We are going to see his onc in the

next month. I just wanted to see if this is common.

    Weight gain

    I gained weight with tamoxifen. After exercising more I lost it though, so maybe his exercising is causing it? Is he eating enough? Be sure to ask the doctor!

    I also have gained weight on tamoxifen I have been on it since 2009 I have 10 years to take it I have managed to lose some weight but I've had to really work at it and it's hard, i still am  not where I would like to be on my weight  ! It could be him exercising and also most  men can lose weight easier than woman they have more muscle ! Hope this helps !

    I gained and kept about 25

    I gained and kept about 25 lbs on since being on Tamoxifen-off it now 2 yrs. I am not sure due to the meds, my age (now 58) , hystercomy.

     

    I was always very skinny-not any more.
