Noise from pump

My brother has to wear a pump 3 days a week every other week and the clicking sound it makes is driving him crazy.  He can't walk around with headphones all the time.  Is there anything that I can buy for him that is made to go around the device to muffle the sound?  I have been searching the internet and can't find anything.  Is anyone else bothered by this and if so have you found something that works?  THANK YOU & GOD BLESS

    I apologize I don't know all

I apologize I don't know all the technical terms but he comes home with a pump in a fanny pack that flows chemo for 2 1/2 days every other week.  The pump makes a clicking noise that really upsets him.  I hope that makes more sense.

    THANKS

    Yes

So, it is a fanny pack.

My first thought is to muffle the sound with a noise absorbing material that won't interfere with the action of the pump.  Cotton batting (used in quilting) or clean washcloths or cotton balls come to mind...

These solutions maybe too simplistic since I've never seen this contraption.
