I don't know what to cook for my mother (post chemo and bone marrow transplant)

Hello , I am taking care of my mom who had a bone marrow transplant done. She received chemo and is dealing with the side effects such as the metallic taste in the mouth. She is using plastic utensils and not metal anymore so that helps a little bit. But the food still tatses different and its hard for her to eat . We both get frustrated about this but especially me since I'm the one cooking for her I don't know what to cook for her so that she can eat.. if i can get any advice on what is easier to eat when one has a metallic taste it would be very appreciated , thank you .

Also, NPR had an interview with a chef who was motivated to cook for a friend going through cancer treatment, including dealing with "metal mouth" [Disclaimer: yes, it promotes her cookbooks, but there's info in the interview on ways to help with things not tasting right].

I think it's great that you're looking at ways to make your mom's food more "user friendly." It's extra work on your part, but will make a lot of difference for her (and for you both).
