Grateful for good news
I saw my gyn onc yesterday and got the results of my post-chemo scan. There is no sign of cancer, and the few lymph nodes they were watching either shrank to normal or remained stable. She actually used the phrase "complete remission." This is a better result than I ever dared to hope for. I see my medical onc on Tuesday and hope she reads the report the same way.
My doctor said the chance of recurrence is about 40%. She also confirmed that my cancer would be classified as UPSC--that phrase has never appeared in any path report, and apparently it's not a phrase she uses much.
Thank you all for your advice and support. I will certainly be hanging around here for a while. Happy New Year, everybody!
