    Kim, so happy to hear your mass is likely benign thymic rebound!!  Who would have guessed, right?  These tests can be such a mixed blessing and often turn up such weird findings, sometimes relevant and sometimes not.  I recall an ER doctor telling me in 2009 that I had metastatic cancer to the lung, based on a CT scan which reported a suspicion for metastatic cancer.  (It was actually a preliminary CT report done in the middle of the night.  The final report did not include the same finding).  Turned out I had eosinophilic pneumonia, but because eosinophilic pneumonia is so rare, it took another few months to get a correct diagnosis.

    Kim, I always love seeing your picture and your posts although this one, not so much. But as a friend once told me, everyone with cancer focuses on being *cured*, i.e. surgery, treatment, etc., then getting back to your 'normal' life. She said that for her, cancer is more of a process; she focused on the long term and expected bumps along the way. I don't know if this is of any help or not but, as the others have noted 4 mm is a very small bump along your way. Be well, my online friend. B
