    Thank you! My days mostly revolved around staying active.. dog walks and gym workouts. It's how I keep my weight in check, which is critical since heart disease and diabetes run rampant in my family. Thanks again. Hugs to all!

    Wonderful News!

    Bonnie that is such good news! You must be so relieved !I am glad to hear you are going to have a follow-up appoitment to the biopsy to investigate the cause of the PMB. I too received a negative/benign  pathology report on 11/28 but the Gynecologist seemed to think that a follow- up appointment is not necessary. I don't know why I would have had the PMB, in the first place, and I hope you will post what you learn about that after your follow up. Celebrate your good news!!!

    I'm waiting to hear back regarding follow up instructions. I too am glad that your results were benign. I'll post as soon as I hear back. I can guess all day why I had PMB, but I think that it will only add stress and worry, something I don't need now.. too be continued.. thanks again!

    First off, Noelle.. certainly no apology needed, ever. :-)

    I called the office and left a message on Friday since it was a just over a week since my biopsy, and they have not returned my call. While, the doctor is fabulous and when I was there twice, I was treated well by the staff, I have heard that they are not very responsive via phone. There's a special extension for test results, and I'm afraid that they are simply too busy.

    So, I plan to call the appointment desk tomorrow morning and see if I can get through that way. If not, I will probably bite the bullet and drive over and hope someone can tell me something. I'd like to believe that if it was bad news, they would have reached out to me right away, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I just hope that the sample was sufficient for analysis, otherwise I will need to have a D&C.

    On the plus side, I healed nicely from the biopsy, and am back full steam at the gym. And there were no further episodes of PMB, which started this whole mess.

    I did some research and really can't determine if the nodular lesion can be malignant if the endometrial sample is benign, and unless someone reading this can tell me, I will have to ask the doctor. It seems to me logically that since these lesions (polyps, or whatever) come from the endometrium, that its composition would be similar, but since I am not a scientist, I cannot possibly know this.

    Just cheering you on, here! Glad you are healing up from the biopsy and getting out there to the gym. Hoping that you get a good report, but encouraging you to ask all of those questions. Any number of possibilities can happen and its good to suss everything out.

    a new year and more aggravation..

    Hello everyone! I hope that you are all doing well in the new year. It turns out that the endocervical canal was benign, but there was no actual endometrial tissue present in the biopsy sample. I only found this out when I received the actual report. The OBGYN's nurse did not tell me this on the phone. I finally spoke with the doctor who recommended a 3 month ultrasound follow up. This will happen tomorrow. 

    I feel rather swollen in that area even though my weight is stable, so I'm curious to see what the ulatrsound reveals this time.

    The doctor feels that the next step is a D&C, so he can get an actual endometrial sample for biopsy to figure out what this nodular lesion is. My concern is that if it's done blindly, he will not get a sample since my uterus is anteverted and retroflexed. 

    Meanwhile, I still spot on and off every couple of weeks which is annoying at best.

    I'll post as soon as I get the results.

    As it turns out, my stomach is not helping the radiologist or the technicans get a really clear picture of what's going on inside. I'm been having a lot of issues with bloat and gas, but I was convinced that my uterus was HUGE. This time the endometrium was 3mm (down from 6mm), but I don't know if it's beause whatever nodule they saw last time was gone or they couldn't see it because of the gas. But the report does say that it's atrophic with small myometrial fundal calcifications without a discrete identifiable measurable fibroid associtated with it. Frankly, I have no idea if that's good or bad.

    Hopefully, I'll get more information after the follow up with my gynocologist. I'll call for an appointment tomorrow.

    Interesting. When I was having radiation the radioligy techs said I was having a lot of gas blocking their view and they suggested using gas X which I do now as I still have gas issues.

    If the doctor recommends another follow up, I will prepared better to ensure that this isn't an issue going forward. My concern is that even though the endometrium is nice and thin now, they may have missed something due to gas which changes the measurement and could be ominous since it's something they saw previously. Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying really hard to eat a better diet to help with this in general.
