Thankful

Today my country is celebrating Thanksgiving. Today, among all of the usual things I am thankful for are all of you. Your messages, even though I didn't post until afterwards, were one of the biggest things that helped me maintain some sense of calm through my surgery in February. I'm thankful, as of now and hopefully forever, I have clear scans and I'm healthy. So, whether you are celebrating today or it's just another day for you, thank you. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

ITA with you, Kat. This board

ITA with you, Kat. This board and the wonderful people on it saved my sanity. I'll always be thankful for that. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it and a wonderful day to everyone in other countries who do not :)

    Thank you all

I am so thankful to find this place. We all know how it feels having this disease and we help such other to walk through the difficult time. Good or bad, it is part of our life, and meeting all of you here has made my life better.

    Happy Thanksgiving

    We do not celebrate

We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in our country. But I am also very grateful to people on this board. They helped me greatly during the darkest days of my life.

Thank you, stay strong and positive!

    I am also

very thankful for this forum. I don't keep from going insane all by myself. A few of the regular whack-jobs here help keep my feet planted. Especially when I've been challenged. Karma is a powerful "whatever" it is. Anyone who has recieved any kind of comfort from this forum is proof enough for me that it exists. Thank You all. Especially you old timers who showed me the way when I was just a rookie. ( I guess it just seems like I've been here forever)

I am also thankful for having you all. No one could have emotionally helped me as much as you all did. I'm also very thankful to CSN team.

    Late best wishes...

to all on the board.  Hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend.  And didn't feel the urge to go shopping with some crazy people.  When those of us on the board are frequently fighting to live a longer life, it is absolutely amazing to me that people will shoot others, get into fist fights, step on people and create mayhem in the store just to get some electronic gadget that will be obsolete in a couple of years.  Go Figure!!

I sat next to my D-i-laws dad at Turkey dinner, and we compared dates-10+ for me and he'll be 10 years in April for Prostate cancer.  The son's girls (12 & 10) made up some fun games we all played, they had us draw names for Secret Santa gifts, and then showed the latest Zumba routines that the oldest is learning in the alternative PE class.

More relaxing, and on Saturday, my husband went to our daughter's and 3 of them went to the 4A state Championship football game, which our team from North Bend won. (My husband and our kids went to NB)  I sat at home, stayed warm, read a book during time outs, and watched our university alma mater, Oregon State Beavers beat the Uof Oregon Ducks.  The Ducks won the Rose Bowl 2 years ago and finished in the bottom 3 of the Pac 12 this year. And now the UO coach has to wait a few more days to see if he even has a job.  And gee, if they buy our his contract, he still gets $1.8 million dollars.

On that note, I better close.  The December holidays will arrive whether we are ready or not.  I've learned to prune out the stuff I didn't enjoy and stay focussed on family.  Take time to relax, have coffee and cookies with friends, get a Charlie Brown tree and call it good.

    love & hugs,

Yes, lots of caring and understanding people here. I know sometimes I feel alone, then I come here and it helps. I am sorry any of us know about this forum, but very thankful it is here.

Better days ahead for all of us

    You are valued

I will also say thank you to all here. Where else can one find such collected experience?

As a bonus you all seem to be good people.

    Steve.

Thankful and thank you all --

Well, I'm thankful to have survived another Thanksgiving, both in the massive bake-make-take groaning board experience sense of survival as well as it's-another-year-and-I'm-still-here-go-figure sense of survival.

You all have kept me occupied, educated, entertained, challenged, uplifted, connected, and as sane as I reckon I'm ever going to be -- for which I am ever-so-grateful.  When I count my blessings -- you're on the list.

Just think, if it weren't for the internet and the ACA's CSN forums, we'd probably be stuck spending the holidays listening to our elderly friends tell us horror stories about childbirth, the neighbor tell us about their cow that had bloat, and our relatives run through every little detail of their gall bladder surgeries. Oh, wait. We're probably all sitting through that, too.  I mean, that's ALL we'd be hearing.  Bummer.

    Thanks for making life special.

Hugs all around, love to you all --

    Jerzy

    Thanksgiving

Was special.  And I truly hope it was for each & every one of you that celebrate it .....and those that don't.  So much to be thankful for, good family, friends, food & wine.....especially the wine!  haha  Oh and my favorite moment of the day was my 6 year old grand-daughter Ava, who sat there with her plate full of food and reminded us we forgot to say grace and then proceeded with the blessings.  How special that was.  In our haste to get the food out while hot and stuff our faces, we were reminded by the youngest of us to take a deep breath and give thanks.

Out of the mouths of babes.

Don't think for a moment that I didn't thank God for all of you on this forum.... God Bless all of you,

    Donna~
