Diagnosed with Linitis plastica in April now i'am CANCER FREE
I was having problems eating after having surgery last November. I could not hardly eat anything and i would get sick. I told the surgeon about this and he said that it was normal after the surgery and it would last about a month or so. The surgeon gave me some nausea medicine. Well after a few months of losing 36 punds and still not being able to eat I went to my family doctor who gave me more medicine and referred me to a stomach doctor. The stomach doctor gave me more medicine and told me and my wife that he could run a scope into my stomach and take a look if I wanted. I was going to just take the medicine and see what hapens but my wife said no she wanted him to tun the scope. Well in April I got the bad news, I was diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer caled Linitis plastica at the top portion of my stomach. The following Sunday I went to church and the elders laid hands on me and prayed for a healing. After church I was feeling something I had not felt in a long time HUNGRY. We went to Subway and I ordered a foot long spicy italian sub and ate it up. My appetite was back and man was it ever. I started gaining my wieght back and the doctors could not explian it but I could. I had a bunch of tests ran, CT scan, PET scan, etc..and the doctors determined I had stage 2 stomach cancer. They also said that It did not look like it spread any where else. I was then set up to have Chemo before any surgery. My Onocologist (hope I spelled that right). started me up on a intense regiment called the "Magic Protocol". I had 1 bag of IV then 1 big syringe of some red stuff pushed through my IV and I had to take 5 pills a day 2 in the morning and 3 at night. I did this for 3 months. I asked the doctor what my chances were and he said not to good with this kind of cancer. But then again he did not know that nothing is impossible with the Lord and cancer to the Lord is like a thorn in a toe. The doctor could not believe how I was taking the chemo. I had little to no side efects and was still eating well. He told me that if I had been 15 years older and smoked that he would not have put me on this type of chemo because it would have kiled me. Then again he did not realize I had the Lord on my side. When I woiuld tell him that he would not say much. During the time of the chemo I kept on doing my old routine restoring old trucks and such. I felt great and was eating well, If the doctors had not told me i was sick I never would have known. I felt as good mot beter then I did before they told me I had cancer. After the chemo I went to see the cancer surgeon at UAB in Birmingham Alabama who ran mlore tests on me. I would tell him he was wasting his time because the tests would come back negative, he would not bet me and it was a good thing he did not. All the tests came back negative for cancer outside of my stomach, the Lord is good. I had surgery on October the 7th and little over 3 weeks ago. They removed my entire stomach the surgery took 6 hours. The pathology report came back and guess what it said?? You guessed iT NO SPREAD OF CANCER and I had no signs of cancer it was gone. The doctor said that I would have to eat a bunch of small meals a day and it would be a few weeks until I could eat anything but soft foods. Well the lord is great becaue I have been eating all the foods I ate before the surgery, pizza, corn dogs, meat loaf anything I want to eat withj no sids effects. If the doctors had not told me my stomach was gone I would think it was still there. I know the Lord had healed me and he can heal you to . All you have to do is stand on his word and believe. I know this sounds crazy to some of you but it the truth. And the biggest mistake I made when I first was told the bad news was to go to the internet. There were tons of stories of bad news, With the Lord nothing is impossible we are all the same in the eyes of the Lord what he did for me he wil do for you. I hope and pray that my survival story wil shine light through the darkness for someone

I will pray that the Lord will restore his body from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. And do not hope he will beat it KNOW that he will beat it. Just recieve that he has been healed and stand on the Lord's word. And remeber what Jesus told the woman that touched his garmet and she was healed. He told her by her faith she has been healed The Doctors wil tell you many things and respect them when they do. But always stand on the Lord's word and have faith.

Praise God
That is so encouraging to hear. I have been diagnosed with linitis plastic in April and have 3 chemo treatments so far. I have to have a bag of one type of chemo and have to wear an infusion pump for a 2 days. I have been prayed for 2 times and every time I get prayed for I feel better that day. In between I have had some nausea and extreme exhaustion which I don't know if it's from the chemo or the anti nausea meds they give me. They want to see if the chemo is shrinking the cancer cells after 4 treatments and then decide if they are going to remove my stomach. They said they are leaning toward mine being stage 3 with no spread to surrounding organs. However my entire stomach lining is supposedly filled with cancer cells. So they say. I am so glad I read this as I have been getting somewhat depressed lately...after all I am human.
I am believing that I have been healed. The surgeon said my chances of a cure were about 20%. I said "I can be in that 20%". He just knows what his experience tells him, he doesn't know my God!

I'm still cancer free of linitis plastica and doing well
It has been almost a year after my TG surgery and I'm stilll cancer free and doing very well. I had stage 2 linitis plastica a rare form of cancer commonly called leather bottle stomach I still have a little pain in my abdomen area where my feeding tube was. And I'm now gaining back the pounds. I have pretty much gone back to doing the things I did before. I'm not 100% (about 90%) yet but by next year ths time I will be. The Lord and my team kicked demon cancers butt. My secret is to trust in God keep a positive attitude God is awesome. And God bless this group and stay the course and kick cancer's butt to And I was given a poor prognosis by the doctors. One thing I have learned doctors don't know everything. And don't believe everything you read on the internet about this type of cancer
