in Colorectal Cancer #1

So, it's been about a year since I last checked in.  I'm surprised at the slow-down in postings that I see, because I don't see any slow-down of colorectal cancer diagnoses.  I'll try to check in more often.  My story?  Dx stage IIb August 2006.  Colon resection, 9 Folfox treatments.  Dx July 2007 of another primary cancer, this time uterine.  Family carries HNPCC so I got the two most popular cancers with those genetics.  So I'm 10 years NED for the colon and 9 years NED for the uterine.  All this to say, I believe in each and every one of you.  You are the bravest, strongest, most intrepid journeyers ever!  Hugs to each and every one of you AND to those who are caregivers, supporters, cheerleaders, and loved ones.

    Hello Kirsten

    It is so nice of you to pop back in and visit. Knowing there are long-term survivors out there, is always a big boost, especially to those who are just starting their journer. 

    I'm heading to my Oncologist on Monday, and hope to continue to be on the NED side of this awful trip.

    Survival

    I think that what makes each person so special on this board is that each is focused on surviving, not just going through the motions.  That attitude is, I'm convinced, key to so many survivors.  Keep up the good fight and do what you have to do to be healed physically, emotionally, and spriritually.  They all work together.  Hugs, hugs, hugs.
