I was overjoyed when Peppermont Patty showed up on my screen. Take care and get your strength back. Hope you enjoyed a good nap in your own bed.

Still Thinking about You
Please don't take this as me pushing for you to post. I'm hoping you are still recovering from everything you went through at home, catching up on your sleep, and dealing with all of those appointments you said you needed to make. Just want you to know I'm keeping my fingers, eyes, and toes crossed for you that the worst is behind you now. Be well Patti!

Thank You My Friend
You are so sweet and I tuly truly am humbled that I have the good wishes of so many. I have been slow to get back on the boards, I have been pooped more just getting my mind back into the game. I have most of my appointments scheduled, having problems with the hematology unit but have just passed that off to my primary physician who also happens to be president of the University *hospital is a teaching hospital, so I should have trump card. Politics of who refers whom and a battle axe of a scheduling nurse. 4 calls on my part and I gave up this evening and just sent email to my PCP tonight so will see what happens.
I am finished with chemo... (Good Lord Willing) I had 2 cat scans and multiple xrays during the hospital stay so feeling pretty hopeful that there is nothing lurking and growing at least not at this point. I have a PET scan scheduled and 1st follow up after chemo scheduled mid Dec. Will see Oncologist as post hospital visit on Halloween and my PCP who wants me to have normal stuff done like mammo and colonscopy... Heart Dr. who thinks I may still be ok on the heart problems even though I had some issues in the hospital. I choose to believe it is just a chemo thing... They wanted to make me use a walker and I decided no... I then have PET and blood work for my first post chemo check up in Mid Dec (hopefully my first NED.. Fingers crossed)
Boy, I tell you I was on a trip. 7 days in ICU and I thought I was with my mother in law at a trailer park in the desert (no clue what that means). I decided to take off walking and fell and cut myself up... I would not have wanted to be my nurse but you know what, I truly LOVED my nurses and doctors. They are special and kind people.
So all in all I was blessed one more time. I feel incredibly lucky. I couldn't wear my wig so was called sir a couple of time... gotta marker and painted a bow on my head.... with the female sign by it.. I did look pretty rough, I must admit.
I was so blown away to come back here and see all the kindness. Good lord, I felt so wonderful and like I said, humbled. You guys are the absolute best. I again want to thank all of you and let you know your prayers and love are not wasted but very much appreciated and needed. Love to all... Patty

I can just see you with the inked bow and symbol on your head! Only you would think of that!
We're always glad to hear from you, but take all the time you need to get your head around everything going on.
Great to see your post.

You are such an amazing person, Patti! So many of us would feel low about the hair thing and you turn around and handle it in a way that makes one smile just to picture it. I truly admire the person you are. You've been through so much...I wish you some peace now. Be well!

Patty, you are a hoot - I can just imagine you with that bow painted on your head! So glad that you are doing better and that you kept your sense of humor through it all. You are such an inspiration! Praying that you have no more drama and that the results from your December check-up show NED. Kim

Patti you are hilARious
So much has happened to you, and you have me in stitches. Trailer in the desert with the mother-in-law? Drawing symbols of your gender i.d. on your head with a marker?!! And loving your nurses, even if they call you "sir"!! Too much and absolutely great. Wishing you continued strength and humor as you recover and do all the checks in the next couple of months.
