My kids and i celebreted the end of chemo by going to lunch today.  I know i was done three weeks ago but tomarrow would hae been the day i would be going to do chemo if i was still on my cycle and i am totally excited that i dont have to go.  As much as i dont want to feel the pain of bracytherapy tommarrow i would much rather do that right now.  Its a good day for me.

Congrats on the end of chemo! I'll be thinking of you as you go through radiation. Thankfully it goes fairly quick and I loved the ladies at the radiation clinic.

So glad to hear that you were able to celebrate with your kids. It's good for them to help you acknowledge that you made it through a very tough time and came out the other side. It will help them be strong when they hit the inevitable lows of their lives.

Good luck to you on your brachytherapy today. Let us know how you're doing. Kim

    Congratulations!

Yes, the first day without chemo feels great!  Glad that you got to celebrate!  Brachytherapy was not bad at all, so I hope it is just as easy for you.

So  far so good with my bracytherapy.  I think the hardest part was not knowing how much it was going to hurt.  I was just nurous.  The pain wasnt the greatest but wasnt that bad.  I think the next two times will be easier.  For right now my bigest complaint is still my back.  I wish i could say that my back was feeling as good as it was those two days.  I am still doing my exersizes every day and trying to have better posture when i sit especially.  Hoping for the best.

The first is always the hardest.  So glad you made it through with minimal discomfort.  Hoping for no,side effects.  I found brachytheryepy to be the easiest of all the treatments.

    YAY Janaes!

You GO GIRL!  So happy to hear that things went some better than you expected.  Sorry about your back- have you ever tried acupuncture?  I have a ruptured disk between L4 and L5 so very sympathetic with the pain and being still- acupuncture helps me.  Sending you bushels of ((((HUGS))))

    Countdown Janae! Glad you are

Countdown Janae! Glad you are so close to the finish line. Just give yourself time to rebuild your strength now. Between surgery, chemo and radiation, your body has been through a lot. Hopefully, your back will start showing continued improvement as well.

One of my little dogs had an issue with his back. They used lazor therapy on him and it worked well. He isn't even on any pain meds now. I wonder if they have something like that for humans?

    Love and Hugs,

    Cindi

    Insurance- urgh

Yes, my ins. only pays for a very small amount because they consider it out of plan or something.  I am VERY fortunate that my acupuncturist accepts whatever ins. pays!!!  Another blessing :D  I am so glad to hear you got your ins. thing figured out for 3 months!  I know how stressful that is- we have to begin looking for ins. again in NOV. that means the deductibles all start all over again in January :(  I can't get out from under all these bills but I am trying not to stress about it- it will all work out.  BIG (((HUGS)))  PS  I find relief just soaking in the tub with epsom salt and essential oil- a hot tub is better for decompressing the spine but hey- we do what we can right? ;)
