Diagnosis was 1 year ago today

1 year ago today, we heard the word cancer, and our lives changed forever. We totally did not expect it at all. One little spot on my husband's tongue changed everything. But one year later and here we are. Today, my husband went to "Donuts with Dad" at our daughter's elementary school where he will happily have a donut and a cup of coffee. We wondered if we would ever make it here. But we did. 3 clean scans and things are good.

Thank you for helping us get to the other side- to life after cancer. It was the toughest year of our lives, but we are still smiling and standing tall. We have hope and we all have each other. ❤️ Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    1 year, wow!

    swopoe,

I am glad the donut angels smiled on you.  It truly is the everyday things which are important.

I have a Hostess Snow Ball which I will eat right now in your honor (that’s the best I can do with short notice).

    YESS!

a cancer diagnosis has to be one of the most heart stopping things anyone would ever hear.  I'm so happy for you that he's back to 'normal', or as Matt would say "abby-normal'.

    Congratulations!

    snowballs

What color is your snowball?  I grew up in CA - and the snowballs were pink.  Moved to the midwest, and they were white.

Not that I ever ate one - I hate coconut.

    Congrats!

Congrats on one year!  Its a great feeling and great relief.

I celebrated 5 years once, but I had to restart the clock, and am coming up on 3 years.  But, living a good life, so not too  many complaints.
