Sad News
I just read in the Facebook group that AWK has passed away. She was the first to respond when I first came on this board last year, and she was such a source of inspiration for me and so many others here. Unfortunately, I do not have any more information at this time. I will share whatever I can find out.

Chris, thank you for sharing
Chris, thank you for sharing this. This is difficullt news. I was just thinking about her and a few others and knew that she had had some struggles with her treatment. I know there were many here who were also a fan of hers, as she was an inspiration and had a wonderful spirit.
This is very sad. I am tired of losing such wonderful women.

Chris,
Chris,
My heart is breaking. Anne was so strong and positive for so long. I have missed her on our board and was so hoping that the treatments were going to work. But, I know she had been feeling bad for quite some time. She is at peace now and painfree. Thank you very much for letting us know.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. I just got on the Board as a friend of mine on the Board mentioned Anne's passing so I checked Anne's obituary and saw that she was only in her mid 50s - much too young to pass away.
I also looked her up on the Board and saw that her UPSC was at an advanced stage. I did not know her as I joined the UPSC Board in the spring of 2011. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 of UPSC in February of 2011. I send my condolences and sympathy to her family as I know these next few weeks will be very difficult for them.
Cheerful

Rest in peace, sweet Anne. All those clinical trials she went through - I don't think she ever had a day of NED. This is just so sad!
Love,
Eldri

Heartbroken to hear of Anne's
Heartbroken to hear of Anne's passing. I've been recently thinking of her absence and was concerned, now I hear this. Like a few of you mentioned, she also was one of the first to welcome me when joining this board a year ago and I appreciated her support. May she rest in peace.

I hate cancer
May she rest in peace. Hate hate hate cancer. Her fight is done - ours continues. I was wondering how we would find out about one another - perhaps a facebook group for us would help us to check in on one another. I am not always on this blog everyday, but I am on facebook. I try to keep facebook my happy place so this is one of the places I can talk about our mutual illness. Maybe a facebook group would give us access to each other's lives and give us a hopeful outlook that life is so much more than this stupid cancer? You can find me at Billie Crandall Brady - Oswego, NY.
