Oh, darnCheeseQueen57 said:Whoa, thrown for a loop
I didn't know I'd get my first radiation treatment along with the simulation today and I was totally unprepared for the nausea. Fortunately we had planned to go to the beach and I had my medication in the car and quickly took some Zofran. Took about an hour but I was okay. Doctor should have told me to take it before!! Car ride home was miserable and needless to say, no beach because they scheduled me for 9:00 tomorrow morning! Let the games begin! I thought I wouldn't start till after Labor Day. : (
the only good thing about that is,the sooner you, start the sooner you get done, but what a bummer. Sorry you had to miss the beach. I don't remember much trouble with nausia, but I had a lot of fatigue and I had to make Imodium my new best freind.

Isn't it the pits when we're kept out of the loop? I can't remember the number of times I heard "Didn't they tell you ______?" NO, THEY DIDN'T!!!!!! I'm hoping the radiation is the easiest part of this bumpy ride and you and NED end up living a long, long life together!!!
Love,

What?!
That's not cool for you to be blindsided like that. And I find it weird that they could turn it around that quick. My radiologist told me it would be around 2 weeks after the simulation for them to develop a plan. Has anyone else had that happen that your radiation happened the same day as your simulation? I'm so sorry this was sprung on you. Good that you had your Zofran with you! But wow, just wow.

I'm still waiting to hear
My radiologist also told me it would take a week or more for him to prepare the plan. (Still waiting to hear when daily radiation will begin, and anxious to get started.) CQ, did you say what kind of radiation you're having? Very sorry to hear about the nausea!
