Hair and a few thoughts
Once again, I have hair and enough of it that I am going without a hat. It kind of wants to stand in a mohawk. I am also getting hair "everywhere " else. I am going to have to get used to buying shampoo again..
Today I had an check up with my Gyno-Onc/ surgeon, a doctor that I have had since the beginning of this journey. I can't help but think about how blessed I am to have had this careing man in my corner. This was my last appointment with him and was officially handed off to an associate. He is taking over more administrative duties at the hospital and he had kept me on as a patient much longer than most. You have to respect a man that has held your intestines in his hands twice, put them back, and you still work. I am kind of sad, but happy and thankful that he kept me as a patient all this time. The new Dr. Will be good I know, but not quite the same.
Hugs and prayers, Lou Ann

I laughed when you mentioned
I laughed when you mentioned the shampoo thing because when i was loosing my hair i was down at my granparents old house with my extended family. We were clearing the house out and taking some thing with us. My mom was offering there old shampoo to me and i told her i wasnt going to need that. I havent bought shampoo for myself since. I have been enjoying that.
Good luck though. I hope you do enjoy having that back in your life.

LouAnn, You sound so happy. I
LouAnn, You sound so happy. I'm glad you are feeling better and back to posting with us. :-)
The hair journey is quite the thing. Head hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and "everywhere" else! My lower lashes come in and then break off. So I end up with maybe 5 long ones and a bunch of shorties. I'll take it though. Glad to have any!
Take care my friend. Please continue to enjoy your good days!
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

You are so lucky to have had
You are so lucky to have had a doctor you can trust! That makes all the difference in the world. Hopefully your new guy will be just as good. I'm also glad to hear that your hair is coming back. It sounds like you're having more good days than bad.
Love,
Eldri

I so get it
I so get what you mean about losing your doctor! We're all dealing with enough uncertainty in our lives without the loss of someone we have confidence entrusting our care to when we have them. Transfering that trust to someone new is such a leap of faith and one is worried enough about things without adding that to the mix! Hopefully, you found your new doctor on the recommendation of your old one and that helps the transition. Prayers for you that all will be well moving forward.
