Feeding tubes

Feeding tubes, almost everyone is terrifed of them.  But the truth is, most people do t know much about them.  My mother has extensive stage small cell lung cancer, a couple of months ago she could not drink, eat or take her medicine.

She he got a peg feeding tube, and with in a couple of days she was as good as before she had cancer.

A FEEDING TUBE IS NOT PERMENENT.  WHEN THE TIME COMES IT CAN COME OUT.

YOU CAN STILL EAT ORALLY WHILE HAVING A FEEDING TUBE, THE TUBE CAN SUPPLEMENT YOUR DIET AS NEEDED.

THE FEEDING TUBE GOES THROUGH THE ABDOMEN WALL, NOT IN YOUR NOSE.

GETTING A FEEDING TUBE DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE DYING.

    PEG Tubes

You are very correct, I also have a PEG tube and will have it for the rest of my life. The radiation damaged the Soft Palate and took it away and left me with a big hole and not letting me swallow anymore, so I been on a PEG tube for the last 4 years. It is not as bad as most people think it is and it is better them going six feet under, it is also better than having a tube sticking out of your nose or mouth.
