6 month NED
Well almost 7 months actually. Husband has his scans on Moday, and the doctor called with the results this morning. Nothing abnormal anywhere. So very happy!!
We have been doing well. Husband and I went on vacation at the end of July and had a great time. Kids getting ready to go back to school next week. And husband is feeling great- was released from physical therapy for neck stiffness last month, eats with almost no problem (except acidic food), and is doing everything else he used to do before diagnosis. Life is really good. So glad we have made it here.

Post treatment PET scan
I have my PET scan scheduled for three months since last RAD treatment. I have read comments suggesting that having the scan later will lower the risk of false positives. Longer healing time apparently does this. I am thinking of rescheduling my scan for 5 months out. What are your thoughts?

We had our scan at 3 months out, and thought it would be inconclusive because my husband's mucositis and reactions to treatment were so extreme. But much to our surprise everything came back all clear -a complete response. We thought they might not be able to tell and it was a great relief to us that the PET was clear.
