Well done! If your worried get in touch with a doc. No point in worrying on your own. Dont worry, none of us know each other outside this website.  All we have is the shared experience of having kidney cancer.

You are more than welcome, and you are far from the only person here for whom English is not their first language.

Good luck with your tests, I hope and believe they will find nothing,

In the meantime; Wilkommen, Bien Venue, Welcome!

    Welcome Ben

From time to time I also get back / flank pain.  Typically for me, it's either over exertion, or bowel irregularity.  Good luck and keep us posted.  Don't hesitate to call your doctor with any concerns.

Welcome! English is not my native language too, so let's make mistakes together :-)

you prognosis is excellent, I also heard that papillary is less aggressive than clear cell carcinoma.

Flank pain can be a million other things, absolutely not related to cancer. As Stomper suggested, talk to your doc. perhaps you can get an ultrasound nstead of CT  to put your mind at ease? It is more readily avbl than CT, cheaper and good equipment and doctor can see almost as much as CT scan.

    Welcome

It sounds like you have a good prognosis ahead of you.  Flank pain can show up from a lot of things, even from scar tissue in your body from the healing of the surgical site.  Keep yourself monitored but (your doctor should have a monitoring schedule for you) but don't let it eat at your life and nerves.  You have a great life to look forward to and an early detection usually leads to great results!

i get flank pain when i sleep to much on one side because my back muscles were weaked during surgical recovery and they allow my back to pinch a side nerve so it really can be anything.
