Stent to help cough

in Kidney Cancer #1

Hope to start my new chemo, Inylta, on friday.  Had CAT scan last week and Sutent not working.  They found that here was some fluid on my left lungs and they hve to watch it ???????? I have a tumor in my wind pipe and last March had 15 radiation treatments to shrink it but it did not help. I have had a constant.dry cough since Nov. 2015. Have not found anythibg to stop it. They  have mentioned inserting a stent in my wind pipe.  Has anyone had this done and has it been successful?

    I just read your post. I have a lung tumor thanks to my renal cell metastasizing. I turned down radiation. So far I have had 4 day's four times in and out of intensive care with IL2 biochemo. It left me partly paralyzed and in constant pain. This very painful chemo did not show any positive results. Then votrient, it shrunk down my 3 tumors and one is now gone. However it caused me extremely high blood pressure, and high protein in my one kidney. I have been off votrient since March 15, 2016 due to hernia surgery. My dr. then gave me an infusion of nivolumab. Holly crap a couple more of infusions of nivolumab and I am sure I would be in a wheel chair. From the IL2 and nivolumab every musle and bone hurts. waiting for my new chemo Cabozantinib to arrive. I pray for some kind of good results. Two day's ago there was a recipe for home made cough med on the tv show called the link. Im going to try it because it feels like I am getting fluid in my lungs. God bless you. Tea

    God!Thats a run of bad luck! I've had allof those things, all with some positive results, most with some difficult and bearable side effects. I'm on Nivomulab at the moment with no side effects and good results from a scan in March. Good luck with the cab

    What a ride it has been. I have heard many people do well on the Nivomulab and I am happy it is helping you. There was not any way for me to continue on it unless I wanted to be in a wheelchair. Told my Dr. I was not willing to live the rest of my life is such pain.
