Chemo and short term fasting
There is research on the benefits of fasting while going through chemo. I would paste links, but can't seem to do it from my iPad. If interested, just google "chemo and fasting".
i had my first chemo last week and I fasted for a total of 67 hours. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried this.

Does not seem right
throughout my chemo treatments I was told just the opposite. Do not lose any weight and keep up with proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Most drugs cause a loss of appetite either by nature or side effects so we tend to eat less as it is. If anyone is considering this, please speak with your onco team first.
Directly from one of the articles| "The other concern in translating this research to humans is that people with cancer—and especially those already undergoing treatment—have often already lost a substantial amount of weight. So prescribing days without food could be dangerous, especially for those who already have low blood pressure, diabetes or other metabolic conditions." (Scientific American)

I did get my Dr's ok before
I did get my Dr's ok before starting. It was surprsing easy and I didn't have any nausea. I'm also eating a whole food/plant based diet, but getting lots of protein from nuts, beans, and green leavy veggies.
