Another sucky day.
For two weeks now, I have had like a goose egg on my right forehead temple area, hurt down my face. Started getting dizzy with it. Yezterday, I couldn't not sleep and struggled to get up. Woke up this morning, felt a little better until I got up. Called Dr. at 9a to try and get in, my right eye was really drooped and I got dizzy again.
I knew it was tumor on my scalp. When he saw me at 2p. He felt it with all the fluid, but with the drooping he flat out said it is most likely in my brain. He sent me directly to hospital for brain scan. He called on my way home from the test, it is a tumor in the bone that has grown inwards and invaded the right frontal lobe of my brain.
While in hi office my son asked him if surgery were possible, he it is depending if it is a lesion in the brain, how deep, and the location. When I asked him on the phone, he said he just got the initial report and it is urgent that I see the rads on Co Monday and she will need to determine if it is or if radiation wilwork. He said it is not something I have to do today or tomorrow but the tumor on the bone is a new one that is agressive, did not even show up on the scan 6 months ago. I asked if there were more that agressive and he said it would be an hour or so b4 he gets the full report and can see the scan. He was mainly concerned with the area with the pain.
So not good at this point. I tried the Ibrance and got so nauseated and the tumor markers still went up about 45 points while on it, so that was stopped and I am out of options... unless they think radiation will help it.
This cancer sucks.
Hugs,
Carol

More Prayers and Hugs
I am so sorry you are going through so much. Cancer in any form does suck and only those of us who have had to face that diagnosis (sometimes a number of times) truly understand. We understand. Even though we don't know each other, we try to lend strength through support, love, prayers, and virtual hugs. Sometimes that's all we have to offer, but I believe that's sometimes just what is needed. Please keep writing so we can learn from each other too. Wishing you the very best and sending some prayers for your medical team too... to give them the wisdom of how to beat this thing and get you back to normal as much and as soon as possible.

Thanks Jean
I know this is about it, hoping for at lest rads, but won't know til after I see the rad onco if that is even possible, he said the tumor was invading the right frontal lobe and it depends on how extensive, and seemed positive in his office of possibly just surgically removing it if it was a single lesion, but sure was not optimistic when I asked him when he called.... so it is a wait and see.
Damn this is old.

Ahhhhh
Oh Ninja! The rads on my brain did not destroy any tissue but stopped growth. It was after the surgical removal of what they were able to get. Hopefully there will be a similar successful path for you. Even so the process can initially make you believe things are worse when it is really your brain resettling and recovering so keep that in mind (pun intended!)
love you
Sherry
