HOLY COW! I have been away

HOLY COW! I have been away for a while and come back to FOX pulling another stunt! :) Sure glad things turned out ok, there! When did you go on Afib meds or is it a side affect from the NIVO? I am praying for stable scans.  Good for you, FOX! Keep on doing what you do best. Glad you are feeling better, let us know how the scans went, hopefully you were able to do it yesterday.. Love you lots, ELF!  :)

Sorry to hear that you joined the club here.  It is very normal to worry about every little pain, and also get scanxiety.  Praying for great results for you as well.  Will you be getting  a full body ct pet scan?  Hugs!

    Question to 'angec'

Your photo has always amused me, as my first interpretation was of some one on a deck or platform, kneeling with butt to the camera, meditating or whatever.

Guess you were waiting for Fox's nurse to show up.

Donna, that is too funny!  I

Donna, that is too funny!  I guess Fox wouldn't mind his nurse showing that side of herself! Actually, the photo is of an owl.  It was taken by our dear TW, and I use it, with his permission, in honor of him. I miss him terribly, as we all do, and this makes me see things through his eyes.  Fox is another dear one to us.  Fox, what do you say, does it remind you of your nurse?  xxoo

Reminds me of a time years ago. As a young lad very fluent in medical terminolgy and writing notes, I got to be poetic. It seems one of our hospital nurses aides and a patient fell in love.  Obviously she had to take his temperature. And he was the one for her, for life. So I wrote her a song about how she would, "Get Him in the End."

Now that I know that it is an owl, I can see it. I thought it was hurricaine damage or something like that. But I like your reason for using it.

    Hahaha

You're too funny Fox!!  (get him in the end)

Certainly didn't look like an owl to me either, I too thought it was a picture of storm damage.  Surprised  I see the owl now that you've made mention of it, but honestly some imagination is still required. Embarassed

    Its called scanxiety

    A sneeze? Cancer.

    An ache?

    An itch?

ANything and everthing seems like cancer.

We've all been there, my tumour was the exact size of your's and for now all you can do is sit and wait. How do you feel today? How did you feel yesterday? Hows the weather?

Worry, worry, worry. And if you look on the internet you'll worry more. On this subject they are all  out of date or seriously out of their minds.

If you want reasurance, look how long most people on this board have ben posting.

But go ahead, worry and fret, its perfectly natural after diagnosis, but dont let your fear become your master

    Taking temperatures

You do realise they dont need to use your mouth to take your temperature dont you? To paraphrase Andrew Lloyd Weber "Any Orifice will do.".

Change phaser setting from 'stun' to 'dull'.

You should read 'Reaper Man' by Terry Pratchett.  Or "Mort" When DEATH takes an apprentice and starts worring 'about whats it all really about? Really. when you get right down to it.'

Existential crises and death dont really go so well together. And there is also the problem of God's irritating teenage daughter, Susan.'

Read these two brilliant, hilarious, thoughtful and funny books. And stop being so damn interesting!

Rooting for you mate (Oh, and I meant Mort before Reaper Man)a great read.
