thyroid biopsy

Hi I have a thyroid biopsy this.  Wednesday What can i expect?  I have a mass in the upper part of my left lung.  My oncologist wanted a pet scan done before we discussed surgery to make sure it hadn't spread.  Thats when they found the thyroid nodule that is 3.5cm. on my thyroid.  I just feel so overwhelmed.  I hate biopsies.  what is this one like

    Sorry no one responded in time. By now I assume you've had the biopsy done. Fine needle aspiration is uncomfortable but not too bad from what I recall. I think they use topical lidocaine. I hope it went well for you.
