You can do it:) we know it is

You can do it:) we know it is scary, but it really doesn't hurt when given. Read up about side effects etc on the prior board here, but don't hesitate to sk questions here, too. I know I felt a bit out of it since many people on here had already had their chemo before me. I had my surgery and then all my radiation first. We are all here for you!

I've found it's not as bad as I thought

Janaes, I'll be getting my 8th chemo out of 18 (yay! Almost halfway done) tomorrow. I've found that it's not been as bad as I thought it would be. Use preventive measures for constipation, drink lots of fluids and eat well. Try to stay positive, use guided imagery if you can. There's lots of free stuff online. I especially like the ones on the University of Michigan Cancer center website. (I'll find the link). Just take really good care of yourself and yes, I recommend you read through the thread on here related to Ladies going through chemo. Such great advice. Good luck. We're all here for you!

Thanks Brissance, soup, and cheese queen.  So far so good with chemo treatments.  Im trying to take things a day at a time. The only thing that is bothering me is the port that was put in just before treatment.  He said I mint have ome pain from this.  I hope that is just it.

    Port pain should subside

Janaes, the port pain should subside as it heals. It's just a matter of time. Mine still gets sore sometimes but most of the time I forget that it's even there. Hang in there! Kim
