Testing....testing....

I had my 3 month post PET scan Friday.  When the Dr. hadn't called by last night I figured I wouldn't hear from him until Monday....or for sure on Tuesday, since I have an appointment with him.  Figured I'd just pretend for the weekend that I didn't even have a scan.  The little stinker called Saturday morning..... a Saturday!!....is that sneaky or what?  My scan was clear....NED!!  I do have some teensy spots on my lungs, but they may or may not be something to worry about.  He said that they are going to keep a tight rope on me, tho....that I'll be getting another PET in 3 to 6 months, depending on what the Oncologist and RO have to say.

Now please also note.....I didn't freak out!!  This is the first time I didn't take refuge on the ceiling fan.  What a difference!  I guess my worst fear was a recurrence, and now that has come to pass....I'm not as scared.  Weird I suppose....but I'm actually quite chuffed with myself.

    anxiety

I have found with cancer #2 I have been nowhere near as anxious as the first.   You would think it would be worse.

    PET Scan

    Hello Everyone,

So glad to have found this site. Lots of wonderful people and information.  I see my oncologist Wednesday to get the results of my first post-treatments PET Scan.  I'm pretty nervous. Four months after my last radiation treatment and two previous surgeries and still feeling some side effects.  My first post!
