Sharing progress!
Hello, friends
I just wanted to share that with my insistence I finally have permission from my Plastic Surgeon to begin radiation in June. I don't know why my body was not healing at the expected rate or if she was just bring conservative, but I feel 12 weeks out of surgery was long enough! I realize that the surgeon felt they got everything and this is just to clean up, but they also thought the chemo got everything only to find during surgery that there were still active cells masked by the scar tissue.
To all who are still in treatment - keep being your own advocate. To all who have completed treatment, thank you for your example and advice on how to get things moving!
Now the question is how many treatments - 3 or 6 week plan. That will be determined after the CT scan. ( RO said it depends on measurements.). I don't care - the start date was my goal, and I 've got that!
Kathy
