New here and wondering if anyone else had choriocarcinoma??

in Ovarian Cancer #1

I was diagnosed last February with ovarian choriocarcinoma after a miscarriage. Very rare cancer. It's been one year since my treatment and I feel pretty good physically. I haven't really talked much about what I went thru last year. People just don't understand. They try..but they just can't. So was just hoping someone out here could relate to me just a little bit:).

    Is the type of cancer that is consitered a germ cell cancer, but presents in the placenta during pregnancy/misscarriage?  If so I have heard of it one woman and one man with cancer of the testicals.  I think it is less than 1% of ovarian cancers.  I do not have ovarian cancer, I have uterine cancer.  We jump boards all the time!  I saw your post and thought you need to know that someone will be here to help soon.  This board has been running a bit slow the last few weeks, but we all care!  I invite you to come over to the uterine board and post.  Maybe someone over there can help you!  Have you also tried posting on the "Rare" cancer board on this site?  Some really rare cancers are posted over there.  Just didn't want you to feel alone!  We will all try our best to help!  Best, Debrajo, uterine board
