Post chemo effects of Rituxan and bendamustine

I have completed 6 IV sessions of chemo ( Rituxan/Bendamustine) and am in remission...2 months. I'm experiencing a rash in my crotch ( 3 mos) and itchiness on my neck, ears, upper arms and chest. I would appreciate any info from survivor patients that have experienced  similar symptoms and their remedies. Fatigue is also a prob...am 73 yrs old. Tanx in advance, rks

    talk to Dr

Fatigue is something that will get better, over time, but I am not sure if it ever goes away completely.

As to the rash, I would definitely see the Dr. I sounds like an alergic reaction. Go through the usual suspects: have you change laundry soap, bath soap, body loition, anything else you would apply to your skin. Or you could have developed an alergy to something you've used for years. Have your Dr help you sort this out and find the cause.

    Lindary, mahalo for reply. I

Lindary, mahalo for reply. I've talked to my Dr and have seen a Dermotologist as well but no  complete remedy for now. I'm using my 3 rd Dermo creme ( steroid) and rash is getting better. Itchiness of skin areas has also gotten better after switching bath soap and applying moisture creme. Tennis is my passion and play time has been limited due to rash/ itchy skin. I will attempt to rally w/ friend tomorrow and build up my stamina. Are u in remission and if so, for how long?

Glad to hear you are havig progress in getting control of the rash. It sounds like it is a time of trial and error in figuring out what will help.

I was declared in remission back in Nov 2015. The plan was for auto stem cell but that fell through when they did the stem cell collection in March and they couldn't collect enough cells after 2 days. There was a 3rd attempt to collect but that was stopped because the platelet count dropped too low. My brother was tested for allo-related donor but he didn't match on the right markers. My son was just tested but I have n't heard the results yet.

Like you I am trying to build up my stamina and my strength. It has been getting better slowly.
