Chris - great picture. Your hair color looks very similar to mine. But, you have a lot more than I do. :-)
I think it's coming in a bit thicker than it was before chemo, especially on top. I couldn't figure out how to get a good picture of my "rooster comb!"

I love your picture, Chris!! And, I love the roses in the background. You must be quite the gardner. My crocus are done and I have a few daffodils but that's it for now. We had a frost last night so not much is growing yet. My hair is the same color as yours and I'm trying to decide if I should color it blonde again or just let it grow out naturally. I still wear my wig out in public but around the house I'm going au naturale.
Love,
Eldri Elizabeth

Most of them are very old... I live in a 70 year old house and I don't know which of the previous owners planted them. I did add a few of my own, though. Frost is a distant memory here, as are the crocus, daffodils and Dutch iris. The bearded iris are finishing up, too. Right now, it's roses and rhododendrons.
I haven't done anything color-wise to my hair in a long time. My mother had beautiful steel gray/silver hair before she went white. I appear to be skipping that stage and going straight to white/silver with a bit of my old color hanging in there.

Was the photo taken of you in the vertical format? When I did that with mine, it did change it to make it sideways.

Great to see the beautiful pics.posted by all of youEZLiving66 said:LOL - I WISH this was a post
LOL - I WISH this was a post chemo picture. This was taken right before my first chemo. Right now my hair is about 1/2" long and pure white. Honestly the hair on my legs is longer than the hair on head!! Although I am kind of digging the feeling of short hair. I was born with a lot of hair and have always worn it long. Now I kind of have a head of hair with a mind of its own. I see now why my mother always braided my hair - it is just full of cowlicks. After you look at this picture you will probably have to wash your eyes out with bleach - LOL!!

Eldri
Wonderful to see the hair coming back, cowlick and all.in a little while only the pictures will tell.
Keep on mending everyone.
Moli -wishing new and plenty, plenty blessings.

CQ - new picture. and it is right side up! It is a great one. You look very happy.
Eldri - I have been debating the same thing.... Go back to blonde or leave it once it is long enough to matter? I have quite a while to make that decision I think. Right now, I'm leaning towards leaving it alone. I have heard it may change color again in about a year and I find this entire process of rebuilding post chemo interesting. So, if I color... I won't know what it does next.
Chris - I started looking at property in Calif. the other day online. Much of my family is out there. But, even in desert areas the prices have gotten high compared to FL. (And, I don't want to live in the desert.) Now, if I could afford to move back to Thousand Oaks that would be another story. :-) Too bad I didn't keep my home out there and rent it out when I moved! On the other hand, I love my FL home and view. I can't imagine not waking up to the nature all around me.
On another note: My arm hair and other areas was quite light in my pre-chemo days. It is all coming back in dark. I had lazor hair removal on my legs 13 years ago so no issue there - thank goodness. I'm an analyst by nature so I continue to be amazed at how much our bodies can take and still bounce back. This is quite the adventure.

Cindi, I have some weird hair growth too!! I really had little body hair and it was very light colored before chemo - but very thick hair on my head. Now the hair on my legs, toes and underarms is dark and thick but I have very little, very light hair on my arms. It's really crazy.
We are hopeful that we can spend next winter in Florida. We've been looking online at condos in Dunedin and if this cancer hadn't reared its ugly head, we would have been there this past winter. I have family is Phoenix and she's asked us to at least take a look out there before making a final decision. But....we love the gulf and I can't see changing our mind on that. If only Wisconsin didn't have these long winters.......summers are beautiful but so dang short. Condos in Florida still seem quite reasonably priced but I think the prices are going up. During the recession our good friends bought a beautiful home in Jupiter Farms for about $350,000 which had just sold four years before for almost $800,000.
We are in an HMO but will be able to get Medicare next year which is much more portable than our current insurance.
Love,
Eldri

I've also got the face halo of hair. I hadn't noticed it, but the BF sees it. From what I can see, it's not too bad, but I definitely have more face fuzz than before. At least it's light. What has come back significantly darker is my pubic hair! WTH?!
Yep, real estate is high out here, especially in S.F. That's just crazy there. Here in Sacramento, more reasonable in most areas, but I'm assuming still high in comparison to much of the country.

Chris - mine TOO!!!! That was the "other area" I was referring to. I have to admit, it is very strange glancing "down there" when I shower and see that dark stuff! lol lol lol OMG - is there anything we won't discuss these days?!
Eldri - I can't imagine living in the desert again. I did that in CA. for a few years. Didn't care for it at all. And AZ would be similiar. The only reason I would even consider leaving FL is to be closer to family. I really do love it here. So, I don't think you can go wrong since you like the beaches. You are correct, the prices are going up. It was so depressed so I'm glad to see it on the rebound. You might want to check out Crystal River. Now, it is definitely not high glam. It is more good ole boys. They refer to it as the Nature's Coast. The manatee hang out there. I'm about 15 or so minutes from there.
