Metformin Worked
A month ago I put myself on 1000 mgs. of Metformin. I had a Cat scan done this past Monday. My nodules all shrank significantly. Two nodules decreased by one half their size. The other two are also very small. The oncologist said they are now so small they could not be biopsied. She decided to increase my Metformin to 1500 mgs. per day. We are hoping they will disappear in the next month or so. Metformin is like a miracle drug for me since I am considered insulin resistant.

Metformin put me in complete remission
Joyce,
I am so happy for you. I too am insulin resistant and went from a death sentence to complete
remission on metformin. I am sure all your lung nodules will disappear as did all my metastases
and nodules. I guess you stopped feeding your cancer. It worked on liver, spleen and outer rectum
metastases as well.
We need to get the word out to women with insulin resistance or diabetes to get on metformin if they
have uterine cancer. I always wonder if my metastases would have disapeared without the chemo
and only with the metformin. I too am on 1500mg each day. Have been on this dosage since June 2015.Let's hope metformin prevents recurrences since it targets the source of cancer, cancer stem cells.

That gives me so much hope,
That gives me so much hope, Joyce, that the Metformin will keep my cancer from metastasizing. I too am insulin resistant and have T2 diabetes although my A1c is normal. I'm going to ask my GP if she will raise it to 1500 from 1000 mg a day when I see her in June.
Love,
Eldri
