Sorry for your anxietyAPny said:Thanks, Allochka. I keep
Thanks, Allochka. I keep obsessively checking the online site for the results. I need a new hobby; that's for sure.
Sorry for your anxiety waiting and waiting.
BUT I always get my OWN copy of the written report, a day or two after any test/procedure.
What they put online is applied ONLY after the MD releases it.
So go get your own copy if you think you can handle it.
I'm here for you,
Jan

Jan, yes, these are my own copies. I have an account at MSK (as does every patient) and what they put online is the same thing my oncologist gets and my PCP can access. I had the tests on Monday so they post the results a couple of days later. I can then print them from there. I see my oncologist to discuss them on Friday. It's only been two days, so I'm just impatient.

These tests that we go
These tests that we go through are the opposite of tests at school. Students study before the test (usually ), but for medical tests? We have the test, then study every detail afterwards. LOL.
I am the same as you Apny! After I get test results I google every term, every word and try to understand it all.
Waiting is terrible. Thinking about you!
Hugs

Since the age of 11 I've always got high grades for tests. Unfortunately even Cancer tests. ;-i

Foroughsh, I can’t wait for your congratulations!
Jojo, So true about the testing situation. Hopefully I have nothing new to learn. I could use a little ignorance
Fox and Footie, you guys crack me up even if half the time what you say is over my head, lol.

No, I meant I go and PICK UP MY OWN copies before they are even posted online or see the Neuro.
That way I know right away and can ask pertinent questions at next appointment.the online report is ONLY posted when the MD who ordered the test releases it. You can see it sooner if you pick up a copy. Less anxiety?
Can't you go pick up the written report?

But I’m kicking him out so he can continue his rounds to your house. Thanks everyone for all the prayers, good wishes, and for just being there during this past nerve wrecking week. All is clear and I’m good to go for another six months. We’re keeping eye on two small (under a centimeter) lesions believed to be angiomyolipomas, one in each kidney. Which I had no idea what they were until I googled them. They’ve been there unchanged for over a year so doc was not terribly concerned. Bottom line: I’m boring and unremarkable. Just the way I like myself!
All the best to everyone!

Excellent, congratulations!
expected results, btw! :-)
My husband also has 4 mm angiomyolipoma in his other kidney. He also has just doscovered it during last check up. Ultrasound doc and urologist are not worried at all, because it was seen on his CT in 2014 (but not mentioned in report, as obviously benign) and hasn't changed since.
Small unchanging angiomyolipomas are absolutely harmless, and some docs even believe the don't need a follow up, so safe and unremarkable they are.
So, hugs and kisses! Send Uncle Ned to others with upcoming tests.
