Breat Pain after 1 year

I was diagnosed with IDC (Breast Cancer) in December of 2014 and in February of 2015 I had a Lumpectomy and Radiation but no Chemo.  After surgery and radiation my entire breast is very tender and very sore even after 1 year I continue to have pain.  I have asked both the surgeon and the radiologist and the only thing that they can tell me is either "I don't know" or "It may be caused by the radiation"  Has anyone had this experience and will this pain ever go away or is it something that I just have to get use to?

    breast pain

Mine doesn't hurt when I'm just sitting here, but if I touch my breast on that side it hurts, sometimes REALLY hurts. Surgeon said it's been over a year and what is will be and that's just how it goes. So doing my monthly breast exams hurts.

    Me too

I had surgery and radiation in 2010.  For many years, that breast was tender and sore.  It felt like a premenstrual boob.  Today I still think it's sort of tender, but that may all be in my head.  Tell your oncologist at your next visit, tho.  Mine said it was probably from the radiation, but you know how they always like to blame the other guy.  It was not from cancer, tho!!!

    Just wondering on the side

Just wondering on the side you had the lumpectomy, did you have any lyphmnodes removed?

Can you describe your pain? Is it burning, throbbing, numbness,  electric shocks, feel like you have been punched?

Have you seen a pain specialist? I see one for pain from my bmx with node removal pain issues. My pain doctors have said that they see lots of breast cancer patients.

    Pain

it's been over 6 yrs. for me.And if I hit up against something it still hurts.I found out on my first mambo since Cancer that I still have staples they left in.ai ask Dr. About it and she said They did so they knew where the Cancer had been.I think that causes the pain.
